BENGAL CAT
The Bengal is descended from crosses between wild Asian Leopard Cats and domestic shorthairs. The first Bengal breeding program began in 1963 and the breed was first accepted for championship status in TICA in 1984. It is a large cat with a short glossy coat.
While most commonly seen in the brown spotted tabby pattern, they may also be found in the marbled pattern. Glittering refers to an effect on the coat that makes it looks as if the coat was sprinkled with glitter; rosetted refers to the spots forming distinct patterns, preferably with more than one color tone within the spot. Seal sepia, seal lynx, and seal mink, color patterns with a pale white or cream background, are popularly referred to as "snow" Bengals.
Well-bred Bengals are active, intelligent companions. Most pet Bengals are wild only in looks, not in personality.
An SBT (stud book tradition) Bengal represents at least four generations of Bengal-to-Bengal breeding, and thus will be no less than four generations removed from wild blood. F1 through F4 Bengals are anywhere from one to four generations removed (F1 is the offspring of a Bengal-to-Asian Leopard Cat breeding, an F2 is the offspring of Bengal-to-Bengal breeding with at least one F1 involved, and so on). Most pet Bengals are F4s or SBTs.
Bengal Kittens range in price from $400 to $700.

SAVANNAH CAT
The Savannah cat is a new breed that comes from breeding
an African Serval with a domestic cat.
The Savannah cat has the spotted coat and large ears like the Serval but with a more domestic personality. Savannah cats will walk on a leash and play like a dog. The first generation Savannahs have a long lean body.
They are smaller than the Serval but larger than a domestic cat. The further down the generation line ( F2, F3,F4) their size will be closer to a domestic cat. Savannahs are affectionate and make great pets.
They can get along fine with other pets and young children. Bengals, Oriental Shorthairs, Egyptian Maus and Serengetis are some of the domestic cats used to breed Savannahs. The first 3 or 4 generations of the males are sterile. All generation females are fertile.
F1 - F1 Savannah kittens is the result of breeding between a Serval and a domestic cat, with the resulting
kitten becoming an F1 Savannah kitten.
F2 - F2 kittens are the F1 Savannah cat bred to an appropriate
male cat having the correct type which results in the birth of an F2 kitten.
F3 - F3 Savannah kittens are the result of breeding
an F2 Savannah cat with an appropriate male.
F4 - F4 Savannah kittens are the immediate offspring of an F3
Savannah parent.
F5 - F5 Savannah cats are the immediate offspring of an F4 Savannah
parent.
Savannah kittens range in price from $600 to $7,000.

EGYPTIAN MAU CAT
Egyptian Maus do bear a resemblance to paintings of ancient Egyptian cats, although this does not prove that they are actually of Egyptian origin. The first documented Maus were brought to the United States in 1956.
The matriarch of the Egyptian Mau breed was a silver female named Baba.
These active, athletic cats have the randomly-spotted tabby pattern resembling wild cats, but are fully domesticated. In fact, the Mau is the only naturally-occurring pedigreed breed of spotted domestic cat. It is an intelligent and devoted breed with expressive green eyes and known for a slightly "worried" expression.
They are accepted in colors such as bronze, silver, and black smoke.
Mau kittens range in price from $500 to $900

OCICAT CAT
The Ocicat looks like a small wild spotted cat, but is in
fact a fully domestic breed originally created by combining the Siamese,
Abyssinian, and American Shorthair. There is no wild blood in its ancestry.
The first Ocicat was the surprise side effect of an attempt to create a Siamese-style cat with Abyssinian-colored pointing in 1964. The experiment proved repeatable, and by 1966 this breed was accepted for registration by CFA, although it was not until 1987 that the breed was advanced to championship status in that association. It was not exported to Europe until the end of the 1980s, and was accepted in FIFe in 1992.
"Ocicats" are active, affectionate, and very social.
They are accepted for show only in the spotted pattern, but in several different colors. They are also available in many other patterns, such as classic, mackerel, and ticked tabby, but these are considered not showable.
Despite their wild appearance, they are friendly, outgoing, people-oriented cats without being clingy or obnoxious. They are intelligent, devoted, highly adaptable companions.
Ocicat kittens range in price from $500 to $900.
